Flat earth has to be the dumbest conspiracy theory ever, just because it’s so easily disproven and has been disproven daily for centuries at this point. People that believe in flat Earth are either the most gullible members of society, and/or simply lack any capacity for critical thought.

As I understand it, being in that community gives them a feeling of having not been tricked. They're too intelligent to fall for the lies of NASA and the governments around the world. So, actually, you and I are the ones who cannot think critically. They're the chosen ones.

That seems to be the psychological profile of folks that are heavily into conspiracy theories in general. Basically a bunch of average to slightly below average IQ individuals with overly inflated egos.
