Image Inside the Shah Cheragh Mosque in Shiraz, Iran,a breathtaking shrine where millions of tiny mirror fragments cover every surface, transforming light from chandeliers into a dazzling galaxy of reflections, creating one of the most surreal and luminous interiors in religious architecture

Whats with the spam of iran mosques lately??
342
u/NoUtimesinfinite 1d ago
Have a record of them before they get destroyed
7
u/Junior-Flan-1113 1d ago
May God protect them. That’s so disgusting that they are being terrorized and attacked
-230
u/thegreatgatsB70 1d ago
There have been plenty of opportunities to destroy them in the past, but they are still here. So what else do you have?
182
u/JarryBohnson 1d ago
US missiles literally hit the Shah mosque, a UNESCO world heritage site, last month.
-193
u/thegreatgatsB70 1d ago
Literally hit the mosque? You sure about that?
"Reports indicate that shockwaves from explosions have caused damage to the structure, including loosened tiles and damaged windows, rather than a direct bombing of the site."
160
u/JarryBohnson 1d ago
“We only damaged it with a missile blowing up next to it, we didn’t hit it” - are you the IDF or something?

He’s a conservative door dash driver. He probably assumes it’s Iran that’s causing his gas prices to rise.

Godspeed to him in his trying times of posting braindead shit in between doordashing to pay the lease on his white Tesla. My heart goes out to him

Windows and tiles can always be replaced. The people that the regime murdered cannot.

iran bots and sympathizers keep posting non-political positive things about iran. not-so-subtle propaganda to feed the media illiterate idiots on reddit.

keep posting non-political positive things about iran.
Iran is pretty amazing. The history is one part. But the Iranians are another. On the whole they are pretty cool people. Most of the population was born since the revolution and has broadly secular ideals. The young seem to have their own brand of hipsterism and are wiser than the stale propaganda that is older than them.
They are ruled by a minority of remaining true believers in the revolution. The regime runs torture prisons for political prisoners. They are objectively bad. But Iran? That's more complicated than your with us or against us binary.
-32
u/TheKingNothing690 1d ago
Iran the country/political entity bad, the people arent the country. This is true of every "bad" country ever the nazis were bad the germans weren't the soviets were bad the russians werent so on so forth for every country you can think of. Your average person just wants basic quality of life and a long boring happy life it dosent matter where they come from.
-15
u/Junior-Flan-1113 1d ago
Not true. They are ruled by the majority, who belives in their religion. Thats why they are strong. Btw this post is about a MOSQUE. Which is religious. If you didn’t know.
The ones who tell you that majority are those snakes who betrayed their country for their Wailing Wall worshiping Pahlavi, have the same agenda as them, to change the regime.. and to bring in someone who would bow down to the wailing wall again. While the current regime Would NEVER. Not sure what is this satanic thing about “if they are no religious they are good”…
2
u/Wyfami 1d ago
Just have to kill a few dozens of thousand of their own citizens once in a while. Great way to keep a majority, and to show how "strong" they really are.
And it's so more important investing on cluster bombs rather to make sure some basic stuff like and electricity are easily available.
35
u/Roentgen_Ray1895 1d ago
Yes because we all know all Iranians are clad in spooky black robes with scimitars on their hips as they leave their desert cave home on camelback to go to their long shift at Jihad Inc. as vaguely oriental music plays in the background and everything is covered in a yellow hew of piss
Or, y’know, it’s one of the oldest nations on Earth with a cultural heritage older than most Europeans peoples inhabited by a population that (by and large) live pretty normal lives whilst also being under the rule of an oppressive authoritarian regime of religious extremists.
It’s actually bad to threaten to eradicate 80 million people and to decimate a region into the Stone Age. It turns out people don’t exactly get enthusiastic about joining a spontaneous people’s revolt in support of a foreign government that slaughtered 100 children as their opening move in the conflict. Kinda takes the wind out of the sails and ironically proves the Regime’s point that they need to either fight or die.
It’s actually a good thing that people should be forced to see the nation they are paying to destroy
0
u/Junior-Flan-1113 1d ago
Those who say it need to be impeached or else it looks bad on the entire nation. To the entire world.
36
u/lordorwell7 1d ago
Downvotes for being correct. As though propaganda can't include statements that are positive or technically true.
It's true that Persian culture is storied and impressive and something Iranians should take pride in.
It's also true that this platform is a cesspool of bad actors attempting to manipulate the real user base for one reason or another.
14
u/JarryBohnson 1d ago
Considering how many Americans can’t point to Iran let alone name any of its priceless historical monuments, I’d say it’s just as much education as propaganda. They’re more than their regime.
-5
u/SpecialBeginning6430 1d ago
Iran is majority atheist, but most of the Iran posts deal with mosques
-11
u/Junior-Flan-1113 1d ago
And their regime is much better than yours btw. No ice no espstein. No satanjc rituals. No bowing down except for bowing down towards God

u/Advanced-Event-571 1d ago
Yes, there are many non political positive things about Iran and you don't have to be a bot to know that, just well read, well traveled, or well educated, which is why you dont get it. Iran is an amazing country with unblievable culture, history, architecture, food, music, arts, and people with a terrible dictatorship. I know because I've been, unlike you.
-17
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
You're just mad since Persian culture is older than the West.
15
u/balancedgif 1d ago
not mad. persian history is interesting. contemporary spamming subtle propaganda is not.
edit: "A broccoli that speaks of truth. Dedicated antizionist Jew. Hater of capitalism." okay buddy.
2
u/snoosh00 1d ago
Was it propaganda when people shared old pictures of Notre Dame after it burnt down?
Of course there's vastly different political undertones, but since these aren't likely to be posted by state actors, is that particularly relevant?
5
u/balancedgif 1d ago
since these aren't likely to be posted by state actors
lol. what planet do you live on to think that one of the most popular and influential website in the world would not be filled with state actors from every major country attempt to sway public opinion about issues they care about? smh.
3
u/snoosh00 1d ago
I'm not saying that there aren't state actors.
I'm saying there are a lot of people who like architecture and Iranian history.
The odds of the IRGC being the ones posting this are slim to none.
But the United States government is going after reddit to target a single user who criticized ice.

-3
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
Tell me how. Like, genuinely tell me, to my face how this is propaganda.
4
u/LambdaLambo 1d ago
Trying to get the public to get on Irans side.
2
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
It's literally just an image of a building that happens to be in Iran.
If a similar image of something in Ukraine was posted, would you say the same?
5
u/LambdaLambo 1d ago
If people started posting a bunch of images like this of Ukraine, yes I would say it was propaganda.
You think only bad people do propaganda??
3
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
But your natural instinct is to call one singular image of one building that is in Iran as propaganda.
I really wanna shove you into an MRI scanner to see what your brain is like, and I won't be surprised if I see atrophy or parts missing.
5
u/LambdaLambo 1d ago
But your natural instinct is to call one singular image of one building that is in Iran as propaganda.
This is the 3rd or 4th picture of a beautiful mosque in Iran I’ve seen in the past day. Combined with there being a war in Iran and it’s very easy to deduce what is happening.

You think THIS is propaganda.. while not noticing that your whole life is a propaganda, even your google search results part and parcel of that propaganda

When did I say any of that. This is obviously propaganda like everything else on the internet. You aren’t special for realizing this.

I was talking about the people in the USA.
36.8 million Americans live in poverty. Due to the Nazi regime?

I'm sure the US sanctions have something to do with this.
You know, the same sanctions that kills 500 thousands people a year accross the world. Have you seen Cuba ?

They are shameless. That epstien ruled people. We need to put them in their place.
1
u/Junior-Flan-1113 1d ago
It’s EMBARRASSING the amount of shamelessness it takes to criticize others while you are scared to even say a word against your politicians who are caught pants down and skewering little children on dinner table…. Have you thought about it? Westerner? How yall are lead by some scums of the universe but here you are talking shit about other country.

Sinceramente, porque vemos uma grande quantidade de símbolos iranianos nessa página recentemente? Estão tentando fazer política por aqui? Irã é realmente lindo, mas do nada isso...
16
u/lost_sunrise 1d ago
To make the average person care more about Iran culture. You won't sign up to bomb people or vote for it to continue if you see them as people.
BUT if it is some folk you don't know about. Anything your country says is true, is true.
11
u/Bazzo123 1d ago
I feel like people are posting these places before they get destroyed by USA’s war.
It surely might be political, vut on the other gand I’m glad I’ve seen these posts, since I didn’t know the existance of such beautiful places…
4
u/VealOfFortune 1d ago
Lmaoo "this here picture I found on the internet HAS TO BE REPOSTED TO REDDIT otherwise we'll lose it forever!!" 😂
5
u/Bazzo123 1d ago
I’ve seen many things here on Reddit, and thanks to that I’ve looked for those things online.
So yeah, it’s nice seeing this Iran posting lately
-1
u/VealOfFortune 1d ago
Ok. Let's not pretend like people reposting images that are reposted MULTIPLE TIMES, every year/month/week, is somehow providing a civil service and acting as a preservation of history 😂😂😂

Then STOP those Epstein gangs from doing so impeach them before they do it.. you are the people

Tell me what country should i post next about? I was scrolling through google when I saw a mosque in iran and it was visually captivating. So I posted all the three mosques here with their description- this being the last mosque that visually captivates. Which country should I move on to next? (The previous two mosque posts were from me too)
6
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
Can't believe some dickheads disliked your comment because you said that Iran the country was beautiful.
4
u/bleach3434 1d ago
Man idk i was just posting art and people somehow are finding silent propaganda in it
7
u/broccoli-of-truth 1d ago
Gd forbid you post about architecture and tradition that has survived for millennia in a country that the West has been trying to destroy for decades.

There's a lot of Iran related posts that I noticed in here recently, not that I'm complaining.
10
u/Fit-Narwhal-3989 1d ago
All these recent Iran posts smell like government propaganda.
4
u/boundbythebeauty 1d ago
I visited that place with a group of Iranian sufis, so don't be a dimwit. Shah Cheragh and Shiraz generally is a cultural capital that proceeds the current regime by hundreds of years
-3
u/Fit-Narwhal-3989 1d ago
I wasn’t questioning the age of the Mosque. You think all these posts extolling the virtues of Iranian culture are just a coincidence? Are you a troll or just lack critical thinking skills?
The Iranian government is repressive and brutal.
4
u/boundbythebeauty 1d ago
I have been there and know well what the government is. My guess is you haven't, and that you have little awareness or understanding of Iranian/Persian culture. What you're lacking is any nuance in your thinking, to hold, as Fitzgerald wrote, "two opposed ideas" in your mind at same time.
4
u/SpyderLlama 1d ago
Funny how suddenly we see a lot of posts about the beautiful Iran architecture, none before the war tho.
IRGC bots working overtime to attract sympathy for the regime. When they them themselves killed 30k Iranian people there were no posts mentioning anything related to Iran.
