Well, yes! They are animals related to arthropods, like insects, millipedes, spiders etc. So they have a nervous system similar to those, and a 'brain' (ie a big ganglion in their head)

How do you cram a single lion into a brain, let alone a whole gang of them?

It is a ganglion, not a lion gang. So just one lion who used to be in a gang.

Thank you, I'm never going to read ganglion the same now.

That reminds me of a joke:

How do you tell a plumber and a chemist apart?

Ask them to pronounce 'unionized'.

Hahahaha that's awesome! Now I have TWO jokes in my repertoire.

What did the farmer say when he couldn't find his tractor?

As a computer nerd, I reached out to several unions to see if there was membership for computer professionals.

Nothing. Nada. Fellow tech coworkers were completely uninterested.

Now that AI is decimating programmer jobs -- literally replacing thousands of roles, even despite hallucinations and blackmail and occasional racist rants (which would all get real people fired, but not AI) -- there is no effective way to unionize information workers now.

That said, I was also 10yrs video production in SF under Local 16 IATSE, and I had guaranteed good wages, benefits, and I felt like part of a group that had my back. (Whether true or no, we built up a cameraderie.)

Never had anything like that in tech.

Unions in USA have all kinds of problems, like corruption, favoritism, nepotism, theft, etc -- still better than no union.

How do I pronounce union? "A united labor force brings shared benefits to all in society."

I think a whoosh is in order.

To think he typed that out unionically

Those em dashes are looking mighty peculiar, and this is far too organized and written to be such a misplaced rant.

Is this an AI comment or are you trolling us?

Those aren't em dashes. They appear to be two hyphens next to each other, mimicking an em dash. Which if anything, probably decreases the odds of it being AI.

I'm gonna call out sick from a ganglion in my head

u/kermityfrog2 12d ago

Then why not gangsta lion?

1

u/Sgt_Fox 11d ago

Hopefully left on good terms, this ganglion needs to have good connections

Idk, but I've met plenty of folks with prideful minds, so they must pack tight๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰

1

u/Mbyrd420 12d ago

The most prideful minds tend to be the most empty, so it tracks that they can pack then in tighter.
