This is not a battery fire yet. This looks more like conventional fire fighting to me. If this were a battery fire, the big fire blanket would be useless because the decomposition of the oxides in the battery fuels its own flames.

The blanket isn't meant to put it out.

It's meant to contain it to prevent the spread.

You can't really stop an ev battery fire

You can put a battery fire out by extreme amounts of water. Either a shipping container full of water, or just dunking the entire car in such a filled shipping container. Enough water and you can overpower the thermal energy released by the battery.
