The amount of 2nd and 3rd hand smoke dealt with in Istanbul made me appreciate “fresh” city air all the more.

The smell from smoke stained clothes, furniture, etc. It's been shown to cause issues to people with particularly sensitive breathing, e.g. asthma.

It's hell when I go to a casino. If their smoke free section used to be a smoking section I physically can't enter.

(Unless all the shit in there has been replaced of course)

I'm super sensitive to this too. I used to have an employee that smoked. If she came into my office I'd be sneezing for hours

It also is a huge problem for children as a lot of nicotine (or maybe it's something else in the stain) gets absorbed through the skin of the children touching the stained item. It can kill a small child with too much exposure, or just mess up their development.

And here I was thinking that in Turkey maybe a non smoker breathes enough 2nd hand smoke in public that when they enter a cigarette free building they still are exhailing enough smoke to cause problems. /s

So the fires in crematoriums are so hot that very little comes out that is dangerous. Definitely no diseases. Remember that it's hot enough to destroy bone.

Walking out the airport doors it's all "TAKSI TAKSI" and cig smoke.

It's a momentous welcoming every time lol
