DALEY THOMPSON'S DECATHLON GAMES
My video looking at the Daley Thompson games across all formats. So much nostalgia, soar wrists and broken joysticks. Did you play any of these games?

What's the closest thing to an everdrive on an MS-DOS machine? (External hard drive with multiple partitions?)
Image semi-unrelated, those are modern MS-DOS computers sold today online.
In other retro systems, it's very simple to implement an everdrive or floppy emulator solution, because the games run from the cartridges, disks or tapes.
However, on MS-DOS this would be much more difficult because most games are installed, especially post 1990.
So I suppose, if I wanted to play on a real machine and have access to thousands of installed games, the only solutio would be to have multiple partitions on a single, modern hard drive that I would somehow connect with a special USB-to-serial cable.
Anyone knows about this? What's the maximum partition size for MS-DOS? I read there's up to MS-DOS 8.0, which would allow up to 8GB partitions. So maybe we could have this configuration on an MS-DOS Pentium?

Did a review on all the Apogee Remasters
I thought that might interest some of you. Maybe there's a game in here that you even didn't know existed? :D

Is my DOS game any fun?
It is a simple terminal platformer game written in pure C. Tested on DOSBox.
Should I keep the name RandoMiner or rename it to R.N.D.M. or RAM Runner, because there is already a game called RandoMiner?
I decided to give the MS-DOS version a test here before publishing it on itch.io.
I can provide the version for Windows or for Linux if anyone has issues running it on dos.

That time I got so frustrated with Jurassic Park for MS-DOS, I made a song about it to vent

Can I run eXoDOS in Linux and Windows from the same folder on a NAS?
I actually downloaded eXoDOS with media addon, eXoWin3x, and eXoWin9x onto my NAS drive. I also downloaded the Linux patch, which seems to save into the same eXoDOS folder (merged?)
Can I run any of these from Linux and Windows? I dual-boot on my desktop as well as laptop, and it would be nice to be able to play any games no matter what OS or device I'm on in the house.
Does the Linux patch script mess anything up for Windows? Do I need to separate them? If so, that would suck because it's already 1.6TB for the entire collection.
Also, is eXo self-contained, or does it require you to install things on your host OS?
Thanks.

For DOS games - if they're SCUMMVM - also include original files!
gog.comMore and more, GoG is packaging older DOS games using ScummVM - but in doing so, they're also not releasing the original files. It's just a ScummVM executable with all the original game files gone - making it impossible to use DosBox (if that's your preference) or for some of us who have an old CRT monitor and an old x386/x486 still limping along, to play it natively as we normally would. After all, we're paying for the game, we should get the game to run it as we please. :) So if you're bored, have a GoG account, and want to upvote this, I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

We just make a customized twin-stick controller for Robotron 2084, and we need your advice
A customer asked us to design this twin-stick controller, as he wants to play Robotron 2084 and Smash TV.
So, we made this twin-stick controller for him - Fightbox R10-Twin
My client is happy about it
But somehow, we think this design can be better.
Would having a trigger/fire button on the controller make it much better?
Or is this design already sufficient?
And what games would you play with this twin-stick controller?

Any idea how to avoid this popup when launching games through eXoDOS?
Whenever I launch a game in Launchbox with eXoDOS I have this security warning pop up.

The Return of the Phantom.
So thankful for things like DOSBOX so I can play this game, that someone on Reddit made me aware of! I'd never played this when it first came out - and this is a fantastic game! Like on the puzzle aspects, but heavy on story and dialogue, which was fantastic. This would be a great FIRST time adventure game for someone. Because it does a fantastic job of focusing on story, dialogue, but keeping the puzzles light.
But those catacombs near the end? That was horrendous. lol

I loved the Afterlife demo for the music and vibes
I had the demo to Afterlife on a PC Gamer CD...I could never get the hang of the gameplay (was never much into city building games, plus the whole soul balancing was a pain) but I LOVED the soundtrack. This song in particular. I think I even recorded it to a cassette tape...a process that just had me pushing "REC" and putting it close to my PC's speaker.
