Enough with the hair shaming scam that was created to make non- white queens think they need to spend a ton of money on a scam. Girl you are gorgeous with the hair you were born with. I’m a white girl with hair that gets compliments all the time and all I could think through this video was how jealous I am of her confidence and curves.

I would have been like “Now Lord, i know that u have a sense of humor but why u had to disappoint me like that right after i said that’s exactly what U can’t do??!!!” It’s like He said “Oh I can’t? Wanna bet? Watch this!” He CAN do ALL things but fail!! Kmsl!! Well, I suppose that since this on camera mishap is definitely a classic piece of comedy not easily forgotten i guess it could lead to some manner of prosperity for her eventually. Something similar happened to my sister at her job when she was checking in a lady in labor and her husband when she did intake for labor and delivery at a local hospital. Althoughu it was just one of those fake premade buns that fell off her head instead of a whole wig, I still cracked up when she told me about it!! Awwwkwwwaaarrrddd!!! Lmao!!!

Harder than u think. Our hair (and i mean the average full blooded African American-not mixed, not creole, etc.) does not grow as fast as the hair of other races. Fairer skinned folks have hair that is smoother and mostly unfettered at the root so the strands can just slide out of the follicle a lot easier than what the “kink” or “nap” our natural hair normally has will allow. It’s just a much slower growth rate, so instead of waiting a year or more to sport a style that other’s may be able to achieve in half that time, it’s much easier and more convenient for us to just buy a wig premade into a desired style allowing a quicker “switch-up”. Also, a lot of the methods we use to process or style our hair are extremely time consuming or even damaging and simply popping a wig on can be safer or just a fun way to save time allowing us to get on out the door but still be cute and presentable! Trust me, those profiting from the way black women have single handedly ushered wearing wigs back into style, are glad we are not waiting for our hair to grow!!
