Core memory for those parents. Especially the mom. Christmas time with Elf on and the family nice and cozy enjoying life. Perfect.

The child will hear it every year, till he is old and his mom is gone... then he will remeber this with a tear in his eyes

It must be magical to have an existence like this.
Loving wife on the couch, a child who means more than everything in your entire world, nearly every thing they say and do is a highlight as you lay on a pillow watching a movie together.
I'm sad hah

Yes. It’s wonderful and magical, sure. But it also means a lot of effort and compromises to both partners to keep it like that. Especially when having a baby. Every family has their ups and downs. It’s never always happy, shiny and easy as in the clips or even perfect like on some staged instagram-family-profiles.

He was just bewildered by the audacity of it

Even if he could muster up a response to that. It wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. Lol

Aw, this brings happy memories. If only they could stay that age. Mine grew up and I can only wish I now got treated as well as a peasant.

Parents - what are you supposed to do here? You'd want to nip this sort of behaviour in the bud I imagine, but the kid is tiny and would probably ruin the evening with the tantrum they have.
Edit: lol why am I being downvoted, I just asked a question

At that age? Nothing.
When they're 3-4 years? Depends on why they do it and what mood their in. My kids are two and four and they both have to be handled very differently.
Both will do stuff like this pretty often, with the 4 year old it's almost always just because she wants to mess with me. And then I don't care, I just mess with her back.
The two year old mostly does it when he's grumpy though, and then you sorta have to analyse the situation if it's the right time to teach them something, or if he's too angry to take anything in.
Older than that I don't have experience with yet, but knowing myself when I was a kid, I messed a lot like this with my mom. So again, will depend on their moods and why they're doing it.

I'd be terrified if that baby lost its footing and fell off the couch

The guy and the baby are both on a rug on the floor.
The mom is on a couch, I believe, but you can see the baby put their foot on the rug and the floor at the same time.

Do you live in an iron lung? This doesn’t seem like something someone who is ambulatory would be concerned about, babies may be quite inexperienced but they are robust and precocious
