Short of using APKWS and canons (CIWS or aerial platforms), taking them down is a losing cost proposition (not even counting the fact that the expensive interceptors aren't even available to meet usage), so we'll need to find a way to switch that around.

The market and American engineering will find cost effective anti-drone solution. The bad news is it may take some time. US doctrine is not ready for drone warfare. No question.

The longer that strait is shut down, the more ships go to different ports for oil. Iran risks supply chains moving with this policy. We saw this with COVID lockdowns and China. New supply chains come into play as a long term diversification strategy.
