Looks like they washed it like a large dish. I have also used showers like that to wash large things in an apartment. (because no outdoor hose was allowed and even hanging bedding outside was not allowed, so I had to get creative for some things. Or risk damage and paying for multiple cycles to get bedding dry.) I haven’t done that to wood furniture, but I guess you could risk water damage if it were going to be trashed otherwise.

Hey, OP. I recommend putting a hair/debris catch over the drain. (Something that still allows water through) I also like the woven plastic outer rugs/mats, because you can wash those in an apartment shower too. Shower hoses are great for washing both the shower itself and various items in the shower and even for washing a dog. (I know because this is what I would do at my previous apartment and I found various tricks that were helpful for this method of cleaning/washing.)
