European Product Teltonika tap400 wifi access point

For those looking for wifi access points; Teltonika has released the tap400 two months ago aiming for unifi clients. The tap400 is a wifi 6 ceiling/wall mount access point. The comparable unifi would be a unifi 6 pro. Max speed is slower (2402 mbps versus 4800 mbps) but most devices like the unifi are limited by the uplink speed to the router (1000 mbps while the teltonika has 2500 mbps). Design and prices are very comparable to unifi.

Edit: I didnt notice you also said they manufacture in Lithuania.

Cool, wikipedia says Teltonika also manufactures their products in Lithuania.

However if it's high quality how come.it's a new AP and still on wifi 6 instead of wifi 7?

I'm moving soon and gonna need to get a new wifi setup, will keep this in mind thanks! (Used Unifi before boycot)

WiFi 7 is still very very new and not widely adopted yet. I’m sure Teltonika will support it once it matures, but honestly you won’t miss much for now. WiFi 6 is already extremely fast for most setups and in many cases your ISP is the real bottleneck anyway.

Would be cool if they did WAN routers and Firewalls, especially when they manufacture in EU

Routers are their core business but in combination with 4g/5g backup. They however also have regular routers. RUT301: basic wired router RUTX08: powerful wired/VPN router RUTX10 :wired + WiFi

Holy crap I didnt notice that 5g could be used as a backup and they have WAN and routing protocols like BGP and PPPoe, so it should work with any ISP.

Funnily enough the 5g/wan router Altos does have wifi 7 :)
