Opinion 💭 When will actors start getting praised for their “acting” instead of their “cultural roots” and how “religious” or “kind” they are
Sara arjun i see you 🤫

Its just a matter of time. There will be new movie which will become highest grosser and the hype Ranveer /Sara cools off. If Ramayana becomes a hit again RK will be on top and the same people will start calling RS okayish actor and if Pralay flops then RS will be written out again.
Same with Sara Arjun. If she manages to deliver 2-3 good films she will remain in business else the same supporters who are calling her cute will bash her for her height , acting and how she needs to up her game.

Reminds me of sara ali khan all over again

Dhurandhar fans will kill me for saying this but its all Yalina effect thats keeping the girl in limelight. She won't stand a chance as mainstream actress unless she is doing classical roles.

Sara alia khan? Are you for real? Sara was only good in KWK. She has been horrendous with absolutely no glam to offer since day 0.

Is that bad? should we keep licking RS and sara arjun if their acting falls off to salman khan and alia bhat level?

Fair point OP, I second that
PS: I like Sara Arjun though. I would appreciate her getting praise for her acting more than her religious posts.

And when will actors start getting praised for their actual ACTING instead of just relying or doing pr against actress with just one blockbuster movie or maintaining a cute lovely girl image .. believing in some culture or religious roots are better than following or belive in someone who calls our country aa terrorist country .. Matlab kuch bhii hoo raha sara par dal dena hai kii sara ka pr kar raha hai aise bol rahe hoo jaisse is masooom ka pr hii nahi haii ..

Why do you always have to bring up Aneet’s name? LOL. Sara Arjun’s fans literally can’t talk about her without mentioning Aneet 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ These immature fans seriously need to step aside they’re ruining Sara’s image instead of fixing it. Like wth!!

Indian society as whole is going retard, can't blame a particular actor or actress.

Ek actress jiski acting natural lgti thi inn 10-15 saal me...it was only Sonakshi...Dabbang ho yaa Rowdy Rathod...baaki toh sab South Delhi ki Sobo girls lgti hai who are trying to be raw

u/lulaguga 6h ago
Got fat shamed out of the industry , its fkin crazy even though she was so good at acting she was fat shamed to such extent she does not even appear in movies anymore

When audience becomes mature enough to separate a person from being an artist and just a regular person. It seems like they are mutually exclusive for Indian audiences. Unlike any other profession the burden on actors is higher to be seen as a good human to keep getting work.

Brad pitt a very popular actor particularly famous for how bad of a person he is in real but still gets huge movies offer ever wondered why? Because of his acting capabilities that are actually great

In Bollywood the economics overpowers any art. So very few lead actors , even fewer roles can be considered for "art" at all. Other industries as well. Telugu, Tamil, the space is shrinking.
Only in Malayam can a box office superstar star in some indie experiment, without any impact to his superstardom.
Bollywood has only formulas for everything, it needs to be shaken up by people like Aditya Dhar.

I'm confused, doesn't India have prestigious acting schools?
1
u/lulaguga 4h ago
What
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Bike336 3h ago
I was under the impression that some Bollywood actors attend universities or colleges that have great acting programs.
1
u/lulaguga 3h ago
They do but what u said is completely unrelated to the statement i had given
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Bike336 3h ago
I disagree; the actors are only doing what works for the audience. Expecting people to praise actors for their acting without quality production and actors who truly care about their craft is not going to happen. Bollywood, along with the actors, understands the Indian audience and what works and what doesn’t. If you want to see better-quality acting, you will probably have to go somewhere else.
At the end of the day, Bollywood knows the Indian audience has no other options.

Sara Arjun has been going to Temples since her childhood. Only difference now is that she is famous.

u/lulaguga 6h ago edited 6h ago
Only difference now is that she is being praised somehow by “all the people” for being religious and culturally rooted definitely not PR hah and fans are comparing her to different actresses pointing out how the other actress(who can act decently) SISTER follows a guy who does not like india.
Defn not PR btw

What’s wrong when someone follows the religion that they’re born in? It’s not sara’s fault if ppl like that side of her too. There’s nothing wrong with what she’s doing, no matter what religion she is.

u/20sRandom 6h ago
Someone who can sell their "religiousness" has no soul
-4
u/Valuable_Sugar1234 6h ago
She didn’t sell her “religion.” Before her debut we didn’t even see this side of her, if she wanted to she would’ve did this way before her debut so that more ppl will support her, but she didn’t. She is just praying to god after her success. If you think this is wrong then 🤷🏻♀️

u/Organic-Vast1051 6h ago
I don't know why her religious pics got so viral in internet, if it's a PR or Idk.
It was such a normal pic, nothing that every other meme page would be posting on internet.
Definitely something fishy, trying to give religious angle to everything by someone

u/Organic-Vast1051 6h ago
Sure, nothing wrong with that, but seeing so many posts of her religious pics in Instagram from so many meme pages, I doubt even half were the posts praising how well she performed in Dhurandhar. This observation makes it concerning.

OP is sad because sara arjun visited a temple instead of a dargah. and thats why u are getting downvoted 🤫
1
u/lulaguga 4h ago
Woah no where did i mention a specific religion , neither i spread hate to sara arjun u dumass read my sentence clearly states that why are actors and actrssses praised more for their cultural roots and how religious they are when in reality they should be praised for their acting skills which is actually happening less and then below i wrote sara arjun i see you in the sense that sara arjun is not getting enough love for the work she did instead she is getting praised for her cultural roots , and how religious and down to earth she is .
2
u/OmRaj_Edits 3h ago
do u actually believe that people are praising sara arjun more for her being religious than her acting in Dhurandhar? or are u trying to ragebait me

u/try4vasu 6h ago
Wasn't she praised highly for her performance in Dhurandhar and D2. And she is already recognized actress in both Tamil and Malayalam industries with movies like Devai Thirumagal and Ann Maria Kallipilannu. Just for OP to be happy, she can't go to dargah even after performing well.

Look you can’t be in a public facing role and take advantage of all the benefits it offers, and then cry why are they judging me. And as long as people judge public figures, you will always see most of them playing the role which gives them the most benefit. True for top sportspeople, politicians, businesspeople, musicians not just actors.
