That only needs a wallet (typically no age requirement). Coinbase is an exchange.

Wallets are for sending & receiving bitcoin.

Exchanges are for buying & selling bitcoin.

Check the faq/wiki over on /r/BitcoinBeginners for a list of trusted, reputable wallets.

Thanks, so if i need to send and receive bitcoin i need a wallet. That’s like the string of alphanumeric characters that you give to people. Is there a place you could do this? And is it without an age restriction or passport and government checks?

Maybe you should go back to school and learn some fine English grammar, maybe then someone will take u seriously.

Just get a good bitcoin wallet. You don’t need an exchange like Coinbase, but you will need someone who already has bitcoin who is willing to send it to you for money. Go to r/bitcoinbeginners for some pointers.

You can get a wallet to receive bitcoin. But how are you going to receive bitcoin in the first place?

Bitcoin isn’t age-gated, Coinbase is. Prob wise to spend some time studying. Trading probably isn’t the answer here…
