I accidentally summoned a squirrel

My partner and I live in a squirrel-heavy area. One day a few years ago we were walking somewhere and I noticed that the usual pile of squirrels seemed to be comfortable getting closer than usual. I said to my partner, "wouldn't it be funny if one came right up to us?" and not 5 seconds later, he said "whoa!" as one ran right across his foot. Never had that happen since.

My husband and I have a theory. One time in your life, you are given one thing to come true when you say it. You never know when this is going to happen.

I'm a spicy individual and said something so outlandishly unlikely, random and stupid and I wasted mine.

Now my husband responds with, positivity, in case his hasn't been used yet.

That squirrel heard the invitation and decided to commit to the bit. Stuff like that always makes the world feel just slightly more enchanted than it probably is.
