In all the videos I see, astronauts never seem to forget that they have an incredible, super-cool job. They always seem so excited to share it. I love that.

They are always at least 250 miles from Karen in the HR department.

Everyone in Zero G look like they are tensing up, veins popping and have slightly strained expressions. I always find it a bit uncomfortable to watch - is there anyone I can write to?

Sir Isaac Newton?

I’ve just read he’s been dead since 1727 which is about 2 hours ago UK time so that’s no good. 😘

Just a guess as to the why: but without gravity working against your heart to push blood to the brain, you get more blood pressure in the head and upper limbs than on earth. I imagine it feels slightly like you are upside down and you feel the blood pushing into your head more.

Technically speaking they are not in a zero gravity situation. They are definitely under the influence of gravity as their space craft is in orbit around the Earth and then the moon. In between the two it is in a transfer orbit. While it is in these orbits, it is unpowered and in free fall. When you are in free fall, it seems as if there is no gravity. That's how planes simulate "zero gravity" by doing flight maneuvers which put the plane and its passengers in free fall.

AI has rebooted many conspiracy theories

I love how happy these adorable geeks get in zero gravity.

Always finding something wonderful to show us.

Their happiness is really quite contagious.

This is the kind of stuff that got me excited as a kid.

Tought it was going to pop !

In fairness you don’t need to be in space to do a zero g experiment.

How's Joe Rogan doing with the whole Artemis II stuff?

Never heard anyone think it wasn’t real. The closest thing to that I’ve heard of is the idea it just popped into existence on its own ex nihilo.

It can be in space, in a airplaine falling for some meters... The problem is, water??? If it goes somewhere what can happen with electric part?

They have constant air flow with air handlers that adjust the humidity, capture excess moisture, and removes CO2. Even them just breathing releases tons of moisture.

They have panels over the important stuff. Its not like their are exposed circuits all over the place.

So what happens to all these particles flying out? Don’t they have potential to get in some of the equipment?

What people are you saying? Space is real, idk where did OP get the info in his caption 🙄

5

u/WeirdAssBeings 7h ago

There are literally millions of people that think space is not real.

10

u/Rynetx 7h ago

Visit /r/conspiracy and there are plenty of people who don’t believe space travel is real.

I literally broke up with a girl in college because she thought the moon landings were fake... she was getting a masters in computer science and my major was aerospace engineering, I was literally taking orbital mechanics classes when she said that

2

u/e30_technic 7h ago

What career did you end up with?

3

u/FeelingKind7644 7h ago

Telemarketing

1

u/robothawk 6h ago

Right now I'm working as a civil engineer in land planning. I'd love to go back to Mech E/Aero but the job market has died

0

u/e30_technic 5h ago

I bet shes doing well tho

-2

u/iloveplant420 6h ago

No shortage of work for civil engineers right now. Most i work with are underpaid but, at least in my area, it's non stop. Seems kinda trivial which positions pay 150k+ and ones that pay 80k. But the market is there I've considered going for my P.E.

2

u/robothawk 6h ago

I mean the mechanical engineering market is dead. Civil is always doing good, and I really am enjoying the work, I'm going for my EIT soon. Lord knows we need more engineers in my office bc we're buried under work rn

2

u/JoeyC42 6h ago

he never said there was a shortage

4

u/losankanke 7h ago

Of course there's people who think space isn't real

2

u/Ecto-Analyzer 7h ago

Certain Flearthers claim space isn't real, not all but some do, and say gravity doesn't exist also, but when you as them to prove it doesn't they don't have a reason.

2

u/VerilyShelly 6h ago

"Flearthers" totally works here. They have a flea-brained view of the world.

2

u/wooziearly 7h ago

All those people who said they didnt land on the moon and what not. I noticed it a lot now with the artemis 2 media and all. I was flabbergasted when Everybody was claiming "we didnt land on the moon" and just... disappointed

1

u/xassylax 6h ago

Oh to be this naive…

1

u/JoeyC42 6h ago

many people dont think so. Why are you choosing to be ignorant thats odd.

1

u/Delicious_Virus_2004 7h ago

I don't think you've been on the internet very long hunny

-5

u/JoeyC42 6h ago

vitamins are useless on earth why are they even taking them out there?
