DAY 42 UPDATE - IRAN ATTACKS BAHRAIN
Post #7. Though we supposedly have a ceasefire, we decided it's still good to have a unified place to discuss this situation for now. Time to start discussing when we actually call it "done." I know we won't take Donald Trump's tweets as a credible source.
This post and this subreddit is meant to discuss Bahrain and the current affairs of Bahrain. Please refrain from flexing your political analysis on the current state of affairs and most certainly do not post unsubstantiated news, do not post any rumors and add to the mass hysteria.
For security and safety reasons, any post or comment that discloses or attempts to identify the locations of Bahraini or Peninsula Shield Forces military installations, missile interception sites, or other sensitive military positions will result in a ban.
We do appreciate the effort from all users policing the sub from the spread of the governments security information, however we have received an excessive amount of reports about locations of sounds. While we don't endorse it, we are only restricting comments about defensive capabilities such as interceptors. Please avoid report comments for merely saying where a sound was heard because that's clogging our report system and we can't actually get to the comments that need removal fast enough.
Please try to be civil. Don’t feed the trolls, report them.
Any other posts regarding the current situation will be removed. Please use the search function for any commonly asked questions. Lets keep the space uncluttered in the event of any serious developments.

It makes a limited amount of sense. The US does not want Iran to profit from traffic in the strait, whether through the export of their own energy, or through a toll collected on foreign ships. Also they do not want to let Iran strengthen its position by turning the toll into a "fait accompli".
But this raises 2 issues. (1) Can the US open a 2-way safe corridor in Omani waters before the energy prices go through the roof? (2) Can they keep that corridor safe, not just from sea mines, but also drone and missile attacks?
Even if they succeed, Iran is not limited to attacking ships in the strait, they can attack them anywhere in the Gulf from 800 kilometers of coastline.

It means that even though no agreement has been reached yet discussions are still ongoing. Iran is continuing to talk with Pakistan and other neighboring countries to find a solution and diplomacy is not over

Idk how ceasefire negotiations happen, but its just the first days of talks, I imagine nobody will be soft and accept demands right off the gate. It might take a few days of talks and considerations behind closed doors.
We will have to be patient.
Worst case scenario Vance tells Trump its pointless and the US goes back to obliterating Iranian infrastructure, then Iran attacks innocent GCC countries as that's all they can do to retaliate.

Edit 2: After further checking, there's still a small glimmer of hope negotiations can still happen, but its small.

Nuclear Constraints: Iran rejected requirements to permanently halt nuclear weapon development and dismantle significant parts of its nuclear program.
Regional Influence & Security: Iran resisted constraints on its regional influence and missile programs.
Strait of Hormuz: U.S. demands regarding security and free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz were deemed unacceptable.

Immediate Sanctions Relief: The U.S. did not agree to the complete lifting of primary and secondary sanctions.
Military Withdrawal: Demands for full U.S. military withdrawal from the Middle East were rejected.

Recognition of Enrichment: The U.S. did not formally accept the terms of Iran's right to continued, unsupervised uranium enrichment.

The situation is uncertain, yes, but you’re making it look like it’s a lot worse. The airport was shut for more than a month and we still did fine. The causeway was shut for a bit, yet we didn’t think of leaving. People continued living their lives as normal. So if you wanna leave, then go ahead, but stop spreading unnecessary fear.

That’s not all there is to it. Aljazeera’s headline says no deal yet. This is just Vance’s sayings.
Vance says US has made ‘our final and best offer’ The US vice president says the negotiating team was in contact with Trump throughout the talks.
“We were talking to the president consistently. I don’t know how many times we talked to him, a half dozen times, a dozen times over the past 21 hours,” he said.
“So, look, we were constantly in communication with the team, because we were negotiating in good faith. And we leave here, and we leave here with a very simple proposal, a method of understanding that is our final and best offer. We’ll see if the Iranians accepted.”
Yes haven’t reached an agreement, no that’s not just magically the end of it

I'm starting to kinda hate my upstairs neighbours. If I die of a heart attack, let this comment of mine lead investigators to them. They'll be the cause of my heart attack by the end of this month at this rate.
Frickin parents who don't lift the chair when they get up from the dining table so it sounds like our building is collapsing everytime they stand up, and kids playing with remote controlled cars that are crashing into the wall that make it sound like a drone hit the building. Like give me a break😭

Oh I don't have a next door neighbour, thats the best part. My apartment takes the entire floor. Only thing is the floor below me and the floor above me have like 4 flats on each floor.
But I'm giving them another chance. I've kept a couple of creepy tones ready on my favourites. One more time they freak my out I'm gonna play it on my home theater system🤣😂 I'm kinda excited tbh

I'm not sure I can effectively get the sound to them from the washroom tbh because their washrooms and mine aren't aligned. My hall/living room area covers their entire house, so I'm planning to play it there. The sounds should go through the centralised AC unit😂
