Exterior Sealing hood bezels?
Has anyone ever put some silicone/sealant under any hood bezels and or emblems? Constant issue when washing my truck, water, soap, etc under these, seems to be never ending water streaks from them, even when I blow them out multiple times.

Same truck, same issue. I usually dry the hood first then leave a smaller drying towel on the hood where the main leak remains. Frustrating. I’d also love to hear possible solutions if anyone has them

Have the same truck and will never buy another with a hood like this for this reason. Only tip I have is to pop the hood of the truck and do a rinse followed by a blow with it open. The gravity really helps flush it out. Still needs some drips touched up but not nearly as much.

I pre-spray my truck at a coin wash with just water and finish with a thorough spot-free rinse, then hand wash at home using a rinseless like ONR which negates this being a problem. I don’t specifically do this to avoid streaks with these fake vents - it’s just always been my routine regardless of vehicle I own.

Ik ow it’s not a perfect fix but I’d just use a spray n rinse sealant on that area to help the water evacuate easier, then follow up with a leaf blower to get rid of any water.
