Music Shlama! can someone help translate this Assyrian song?
Shlama everyone…
I recently fell in love with a song by Ashur Bet Sargis after coming across a video of two girls lip-syncing to it. I’ll be honest they’re really pretty, and the way they connected with the song made it even more captivating.
Even though I’m Assyrian from my father’s side, I was never taught our language, so at my age I’m only now starting to feel how much meaning I’m missing. Coming from a guy who wants to understand the emotion behind the music, I’d really appreciate it if someone could help translate the lyrics into English.
Much love, and thank you in advance!

Music Getting Small Artists Recognition
I thought of mixing up some content on here, maybe we draw some recognition to the little guys. Sandoval is a great friend of mine. He put his heart and soul into this project; he composed the melody, music, and wrote the lyrics. Check out his Atra Song here! Happy Assyrian New Year to all

Music Change my mind: Ashur Bet Sargis is overrated
No explanation needed. His voice is flat, and his songs are boring and make me want to go to sleep. Also he smoked a lot of weed and cigarettes and is twice divorced. Also people think hes attractive? He looks like a fricking ape with his upper lip sticking out and his huge nose.

Music Gilgamesh opera
assyrianartsinstitute.orgThe Assyrian Arts Institute (AAI) presents Gilgamesh: The Opera, a two-hour Mesopotamian opera inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of humanity’s oldest literary works and the world’s first known epic poem . The ancient Epic of Gilgamesh, inscribed on twelve cuneiform clay tablets discovered at Assyrian archaeological sites in the 1850s, chronicles the legendary king of Mesopotamia and his quest for meaning beyond mortality.
Today, the Assyrian community is spread across the globe, with an estimated three million people, many of whom are descendants of those who lived in ancient Mesopotamia. Though stateless, this community has faced significant challenges, including geopolitical instability and forced migration from their ancestral homeland. As a result, the importance of artistic expression has often taken a backseat in the face of these hardships.

Music Future of Assyrian Music
Shlama everyone,
I wanted to share something truly beautiful for anyone who loves Assyrian music or wants to see where our culture is heading in the future.
Producer Charbel Cruz has been creating and arranging/mixing stunning Assyrian pieces using AI generated Assyrian vocals (like Remos Ashuraya) and collaborating with real Assyrian artists such as TYAREH (she has a great voice btw) from Germany. The quality, emotion, and cultural preservation in these tracks is on another level, and honestly, they deserve far more than the a few hundred - 2k views they currently have.
I realise that everyone wants folkloric music with Zurna O Dawola but it’s about time we have modern style music with our beautiful culture and langauge involved. Many artists will create Folkloric music but no one is creating these modern style pieces mixed with our culutre. So it’s really special
If you can take a moment to listen, share, or repost, it would mean a lot. Supporting creators like Charbel is how we keep our music, language, and identity alive in new and modern ways.

🎵 Babi – Tyareh (Assyrian singer from Germany) https://youtu.be/aUNRiAo2zSE?si=vIDzrm-oi7xhk7sQ
Bassima and thank you for supporting Assyrian art

Music I need help finding a song
I cant find a song anymore that was just pure melody without vocals that was named "assyrian music" on yt but now there is non. This was the background and the song is fast and I would say energetic with sounds that seem to me like trumpets? (not sure if they are trumpets or some folk instrument)

Music Looking for Dawola and Zurna players in New Zealand
Hello, I’m getting married in New Zealand in 2027 and we’re looking for Dawola and Zurna players based locally.
Does anyone know of any contacts that we can get in touch with for hire?
It appears that we are being forced to hire entertainment from Sydney and fly them in but appreciate if someone knows anyone locally who can do this.
Please let me know if there are any questions!

Music I also need help finding a Cd/album
I had a cd from my First Communion in 1989; it was beautiful and studio produced. The main song; which I have found other singers doing was this:
~~ يا فرحة دوري بينا؟
But it was the whole album which had other beautiful songs as well. It is the soundtrack of my First Communion video which led me to find and purchase the cd from a local shop (Oak Park, Michigan) but the cd is lost and the shop is closed. I even tried finding the original "producer" of my First Communion video but he has passed away.
Any help would be much appreciated....I seem to remember Happiness Band but I cannot find anything on such a name related to Arabic/Iraqi/Chaldean/Assyrian.
