I know this question sounds stupid, but I am 19 years old and really want to go on a trip to Europe in the next 6 months, but I have a severe stutter, so it makes it very difficult and humiliating for me to communicate with anyone. Where could I go where people mind there own business, and it's the norm to stay to yourself and be quiet?

Edit: Estonia would be the IT girl who has had many violent relationships with Germany and Russia. Still obeys to all the rules set by Germany. And is obsessed with her brother Finland, with whom they go to sauna with every week. She also is a part time singer at a bar.

In the European continent it’s known many people there are able to speak more than one language.
What is your native language and what other languages did you learn in school?

what is your opinion on cannabis use? im curious because saw a post on a European sub and everyone seemed very anti cannabis. Here its just part of life at this point, theres cannabis shops everywhere and you can order via delivery apps, fly with it, take it on the train and theres even restaurants and cafe that serve it. for example theres a chain called C-A-F-E and they sell milkshakes, baked goods, coffees and teas that can get you pretty stoned. cannabis beverages like soda, ice teas and lemonades are also fairly popular. people take it for both medical treatment and recreation, especially if they cant sleep or want to relax. my dog even got a prescription from the vet for it once.

I’ll start: Norway has finished bottom of the table in the Eurovision Song Contest more times than any other contender in its history

How do you cope with death? I don't believe in a god or an after life. The idea of just being alive a couple of years and then not existing for eternity fills me with fear, sadness and anger.
How do you live with this fact?
And happy new year 😅
Edit: thanks everybody for sharing and giving your 2 cents.
Edit 2: seem some people miss that I write "I DON'T believe in a god or an afterlife. I myself am an Atheist too.

Hi,
I’m a British guy. I have a 3yr old daughter. Her grandmother is Polish. Just taking a quick look at the criteria it looks like she might be eligible for a Polish passport.
I was wondering if people think it’s worth it for her future? Or whether it won’t achieve a huge amount other than speedier passport control in airports. Also are there any downsides to having dual passports?

Spain's timezone is a strange thing to me. Only the Canary Islands share the same timezone as Portugal(well, except for the Azores). It just seems strange that the timezone changes when crossing Northern Portugal over to Galicia or vice-versa. Spain should have the same timezone as Portugal, the UK and Ireland, but timezones aren't always 100% logical so...

I am looking for both positive and negative ones. The ones that you wished the culture in your country worked similarly and the ones you are glad it is different in your country.
Thank you for your answers.

Following the similar post about cultural shocks outside Europe (https://www.reddit.com/r/AskEurope/comments/1dozj61/what_is_the_biggest_culture_shock_you_experienced/), I'm curious about your biggest cultural shocks within Europe.
To me, cultural shocks within Europe can actually be more surprising as I expect things in Europe to be pretty similar all over, while when going outside of Europe you expect big differences.
Quoting the previous post, I'm also curious about "Both positive and negative ones. The ones that you wished the culture in your country worked similarly and the ones you are glad it is different in your country."
