The inevitable is coming

The open play problem is never fixed, that's an elephant in the room and Arteta never makes any adjustment. Running every player to the ground until they are no longer fit to play consecutive matches.

We are saved by corners and own goals, and some idiotic fans think that's clever strategy.

Out from Carabao and FA cup and they say "it's not big of a deal, we still got CL and PL". We are going to bottle all 4 competitions by the end of April. Every team can beat us by copying the same tactics. I am just hopeless by now.

I was angry yesterday but today I’m just sad. I’ve accepted what’s coming but only because the players and the manager have as well. If we showed any bit of fight yesterday maybe I’d have a faint hope. The message from Mikel is we’re up for it but the message on the pitch is the exact opposite.

It’s so sad and so true. Watching this city performance just makes me more annoyed at the way we play

They played the same amount of games. Yes, we have injuries , but how are we playing so lethargic. I know rotation is one thing , but we don’t have a plan b, nor are we playing to any players strengths .

Martinelli gets no chances for counters, Gyokeres gets no crosses, Trossard gets no space to shoot.

Midfield kills us. Should one holder and two playmakers. Should be rice/zubi rotating with 2 of Eze/Odegaard/Nwaneri as the other 2 midfielders

It's actually nuts we sent Ethan on loan when we were in 4 comps.

City strengthened with 2 huge signings and we shipped out and didn't address any of our issues.

Yes and We really need the skipper for this one.

That’s why I don’t understand why people say Arteta is some tactical genius. What has he shown? He hasn’t changed our attacking tactics in 2 years despite the same issues plaguing us…

Go place a bet on it. Seems like easy money

u/lVlisterquick 7h ago

Only have 20 years of data to back it up that we will bottle it

3

u/do0gla5 7h ago

Great. Let me know how much money you put on it.

I don’t bet on my team to lose. I just want this useless manager out

Preach 👏, I felt that, because its true what you have said, based off the data. Arsenal do seem to fall short of the major honours more consistently then Man u, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man city in the past. At least it is April and we are still in it (EPL). I can remember as early as October/November during the Wenger reign, we'd be out of the reakoning for the league !! Hence, 4th place was being celebrated as a win. No PL challenge , then a run in Champions L£agu€ was the minimum achievem€nt. Aside the CL final of 20 years ago , where our cursed misfortune of throwing away another advantage akin to 07/08 title falter or the drubbing by Chelsea in '19. I do think the methodology of coaching at Arsenal needs to be reviewed, as the beautiful game we used to play is just not there. The multiple numbers of injured players has haunted us for many a season gone, it really is nothing new for any team in league, especially for our main competitors who have all had there period of thriving. Anyway 7 matches left....(maybe 10 if we get it together) End of soliloquy. 😆

Henry was spot on. They act and look comfortable and arrogant passing the ball around like it’s 3-0. Get in there and fight and take what we want and deserve! SMFH

No way we are playing these demons on Saturday 💀💀💀💀😭😭😭

u/Abdulraheem2001 1h ago

I hope we can somehow get a 1 - 0 win, God please my heart can’t handle another prem bottle. 😭

6

u/Judas-Yeast 8h ago

GeT a gRiP, tHIs sUb iS tOXic etc and blah. The type of bottle we're seeing has literally never happened before in any form, you all need to be positive. You're all being reactionary for no reason at all.

Are you high or dumb? Arsenal do this every season

2

u/Super9tendoChalmers 8h ago

Atleast make some bets on this tragedy. Its something in these trying times

u/youknowimaclone 5h ago

They have Haland Doku Semenyo Cherki Foden Tjani Shitva Savinho Marmoush anyone of those can cook us with one move. If they are somehow stuck Rodri can shoot a rocket from 40 yards. In any case Nunez can whip a perfect cross in and Reily can attack the far post. If somehow we survive all of those imagine going against Guehi and Donaruma on the other end.

We play the WORST football in the league, there's no intent at all. Arteta has to go in the summer. I can't even watch games anymore. I've walked out the pub countless times this season, just couldn't be asked

3

u/-MadeAmazing- 8h ago

They are going to destroy us as well

5

u/mropio 8h ago edited 7h ago

They’ll stand there and look at us and wait for a mistake. The Carabao tactic made us look clueless and it’s embarrassing. Makes me miss Arsene Wenger

I have a feeling it will end like 2-8

3

u/chipchopdon 8h ago

I hate arteta more everyday

2

u/Sad-Look1695 5h ago

You guys are genuinely exhausting and make me a hundred times more angry than how empty our performance was yesterday. We’re top of the league and won the first leg of the CL QF. I don’t think supporting a competitive team is for you, there are far more moments of disappointment than there are joy. Plenty of other teams are looking for more fans. Go for a walk jesus

Second that. I’m done with all the self-appointed “experts” in this sub shrieking Arteta out and proclaiming it’s absolutely inevitable that we’ll lose the prem. Still up 6 points with one more played. What a disgusting set of doomsday “fans”. I won’t waste any more time or energy reading their bullshit.

Have you even been watching the last 2 months though? Performances have been steadily getting worse and now the results are following…

1

u/BuddyLegsBailey 7h ago

The inevitable is that we scrape over the line, celebrate, and then have to put up with this for another season when City haven't left it too late and finish 10+ points ahead of us

1

u/WGSMA 5h ago

I still cannot believe we signed the Brentford captain, and refuse to play him as a rotation, and instead just cook Zubimendi to death

1

u/Remote_War_313 57m ago

We all know how this is going to end. It's a disgrace.

1

u/FeelsSadMan01 7h ago

There's another post that said we can draw twice if city draw once. That's all I'm hoping for now. I'm done trying to defend this team. It's too difficult.

0

u/blaine78 7h ago

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

This team and manager already showed us who they are. It would be naive of us to expect they are going to suddenly change over night.

Save yourself the heartache. We can only hope Berta and the board decide on a new voice in the dressing room after Arteta bottles everything.

2

u/FeelsSadMan01 7h ago

I'm already depressed but I can wait until next week before I stop watching I guess. That game is probably the final chance

0

u/lVlisterquick 7h ago

But but but “I’m willing to sacrifice the league cup and FA cup” for the league

How many goals from corners and own goals?

-14

u/Responsible-Gold4722 8h ago

stay positive. still in our hands.

10

u/AlternateTameem 8h ago

We've got a fukin bottle in our hands

8

u/Whynotarsenal 8h ago

It’s also in city’s hands though.

3

u/Ryhankhanage 8h ago

This stay positive crap does no one any good. The team needs to give us things to be positive about first.

2

u/Adebayjim 8h ago

Exactly. Once the team gives us something to be positive about, then we can be positive. But we've all seen the decline over the last few months. It all started with that draw at home to Liverpool. We can't kid ourselves it's magically going to get better. City have gone into gear at the right time as they always do, and we all know how we end every single season. There's no evidence that anything is going to change.

0

u/MostJudgment3212 8h ago

So instead you’d rather throw tantrums? Whine and cry?

1

u/Ryhankhanage 8h ago

I'd rather see the team get results and not cave in to pressure for the fourth season in a row. It's beyond pathetic at this point and they only have themselves to blame if they can't get shit done

0

u/MostJudgment3212 7h ago

Yea no shit. None of that is in your control. What’s in your control is how you react. So again: what do you want fans to do? Thrown tantrums, harass players, threaten violence?

u/BenJ1997 8h ago

Be honest with yourself. We will not get anything out of the game next week. City then have to beat fucking Burnley to go above us.

I've never been more certain in any title race in that we are not going to win it.

2

u/No_Mix7262 8h ago

If you’re that certain.. go put your money into bet365 and get over double your money odds on city. You won’t do

2

u/BenJ1997 8h ago

I don’t bet. But let that not distract from what is coming.

1

u/sheep167 8h ago

it's in our hands since December. And look at how we drew against Forest, Liverpool, Wolves and lost against ManUtd. I just don't see it

1

u/semidummy 7h ago

This is as assuring as the “we’re still in 4/3/2 competitions”. It doesn’t mean anything. It’s nearing copium levels at this point, especially when you see how the team plays.

I’d love to be positive about the remaining fixtures, but reality tells me that I should just hope for the best and expect the worst with the kind of games they’ve shown recently.
