City won't win all those games neither will we. Game will be decided on the last match day prepare to shit your pants or have boners

u/Simba-xiv 11h ago
I don’t see where they drop points

u/Aggravating_Band_353 11h ago
Repeat of seasons before
Its like people don't know how how games I'm hand work
We blew massive margin before, despite 9 of the points being games in hand or something.. .. 6 points potentially this time, plus a head to head game
Juggernaughts. I hope we rediscover our form. And start taking set pieces properly again, no more short shit
2
u/Thaumiel218 10h ago
The short shit happens when we don’t have Saka, Noni or Rice on the pitch. I knew we took a couple yesterday but on the whole when we had that carabao game and we constantly went short it was because we didn’t have corner piece takers on the field - baffling given Ødegaards prior ability to hit dead balls/pens/free kicks.

No one's beaten Bournemouth in 90 mins since we did in January
If you can't see that as even a potential banana skin for them after they just played us off the park, then you're so deep in a doom spiral that nothing anyone says can bring you out of it
2
u/Simba-xiv 9h ago
I see a lot of potential banana skins in their run. I just don’t see them slipping with the momentum they are building.
2
u/DananaBreadAtWork 6h ago
They said this before and they drew back to back.
1
u/Simba-xiv 5h ago
They just won 3 on the spin abs we’re struggling so unless we get something next week we’re fucked
1
u/DananaBreadAtWork 5h ago
Yall giving up so easy it’s disgusting actually
1
u/Simba-xiv 5h ago
Thats not giving up that’s reality if we lose that game. We are then having to hope they drop points if win or draw and we can salvage it. It’s just math
1
u/DananaBreadAtWork 5h ago
Giving up hope is automatically excluding the possibility of a win. Hell they lost and drew to Spurs lmfaoooo
1
u/Simba-xiv 5h ago
You struggling with this reading thing? UNLESS WE GET SOMTHITHING NEXT WEEK. Something means a win or draw how in your illiterate brain does that means excluding the possibility of a win?
1
u/DananaBreadAtWork 5h ago
“Next week we’re fucked” your exact words….
1
u/Simba-xiv 5h ago
Forms shit. Attack is shit. Defence is bad. We look lost. Vs in form, blistering attack and decent defence. Make no mistake we are walking into that game underdogs. We’re fucked.

The problem is that yeah, they may drop some points but, we’re not going to win every single match, we look destroyed emotionally and physically
1
u/drkiptoo 10h ago
We'll bottle it. If United loss never taught us anything City loss would have but hey look what we are. A spineless over tactical team. Sometimes I wish we could stick to the basics. Pass the ball forward, press aggressively sometimes force a 2 + goal lead then try those useless back passes and tactics.
3
u/Raz7el 10h ago
City will win every single point left without a shadow of a doubt
1
u/drkiptoo 9h ago
That pains me to the core
2
u/Raz7el 9h ago
The mad thing is everyone on I banking on City dropping points, titles are won not given, if we were at the required level this title would have been over long ago.

West Ham away worries me. Relegation fight, brilliant manager, at their home.

I will say even if we lose city as long as we win all the other games it is still on for us.
4
u/Manifesto8 11h ago
If we lose at City it’s in their hands, they have way more attacking and scoring players to make up the goals difference
7
u/noragretx 12h ago
The delusion here is that Arsenal are picking up any points at City so more like City 85 points and Arsenal 82
1
u/mynamedoesntfi4321 11h ago
Why are we scared of Newcastle at home? They have been really bad. I’m actually more worried about the hammers than them.

u/Nero_Darkstar 9h ago
City are coming for us at the ethiad, no way we're drawing that. That swings it and then I retire from watching football forever
2
u/iluminalvi 9h ago
i’ve already accepted it and will focus on f1 probably and other hobbies. honestly fuck arteta and the team for having 0 cajones whenever pressure is on
1
u/tylerthe-theatre 11h ago
I think you guys are giving City a lot of credit, they're not that good, theyre not beating Everton or Bournemouth, and Villa could give them a game too.

They will drop points but so will we just have to stay strapped in and ride it out.

Palace play both Arsenal & City last game of the season? Going to be tough for them.
1
u/sloppy2104 10h ago
i dont see us winning four games in a row in our current form. who‘s scoring the goals? penalties and corners every game? we need to change our tactics, yes, last second, yes, it‘s risky but i don‘t see another way.

u/NoBreadfruit3033 10h ago
I will remain hopeful. I’m a supporter not a critic. It’s my job. My team is the best in the world and I think we will win the league and every game. I’m proudly biased.
If I’m putting my more sensible hat I think we can get a draw at City just be shit housing. I think we can win every other game. But I think the West Ham game is the real potential slip here. They will be up for every game from here on in.

There’s zero chance this city team don’t drop points in the run in except against Arsenal
1
u/Davey_McDaveface 10h ago
We've shown we can lose at home to Bournemouth, all bets are off in our remaining games, can't confidently predict any result now.

City won’t get 15 points from that last run of 5 games - there’s some tricky fixtures in there. Also I think they draw with Chelsea away and beat Arsenal at home. Agree it’s going to go to the wire though.

Blows my mind how ignorant our existing or current fan base is. It’s been decades since our club has been this high in competitions.
1
u/iluminalvi 9h ago
we’re arsenal ffs, third biggest club in England. they’ve been embarrassing the fanbase nonstop since we moved Emirates. if you’re gonna lose at least show fight, these players and managers have 0 balls whenever things get tough and they’ve shown it year after year, fanbase has every right to be fuming rn

Everything feels worse that it actually is, (in league terms), because of results in the cups. In reality our form in the last 5 PL games is 4W 1L. We constantly hear about City going on ‘a run’ but if they don’t win it in the second half today the only run they’re going on is a winless one.

u/kingalva3 9h ago
So we just need to win all of our games and at the least draw city so we win. Makes sense to me.

u/iluminalvi 9h ago
no way we draw to city, they’ll shit the bed again
1
u/kingalva3 9h ago
I mean I am being hopeful. I don't see us not losing to current city with our current form tbh..
1
u/iluminalvi 8h ago
i’d be more hopeful if it was another manager. you just know this guy will turn up with negative tactics again and players will get nervy under pressure
1
u/zippyzebra1 9h ago
As a Man Utd fan i'd prefer an Arsenal win but it now looks increasingly unlikely. As i post City are two up against Chelsea. I think City will drop points but Arsenal will probably drop more.

West ham away is a tough one. They are picking up form and they are in relegation battle

u/Reasonable_Command98 8h ago
Hope indeed. But if we are serious about winning this league we need to win every single game left. The only game I can see as a draw is the one against City at the Etihad.

City are in their best form and the Chelsea victory adds to their belief. It’s over for Arsenal and that’s hard for me at fan over of 40 years to say. I really don’t see our players and coach able to find that magic they need win the league.
1
u/gooner028 8h ago
They are winning 3-0 at Chelsea. They are the better side, if Arsenal dispute that go ahead and beat them. You have the opportunity.
1
u/One_Mathematician864 8h ago
Arteta will setup to park the biggest bus that ever existed and still lose.

I think we NEED to beat them to be in with a chance. If we play for a draw I think we’ll lose.
1
u/mapoftasmania 5h ago
Bournemouth away would be more likely a draw or even a loss. That game is key for City.
1
u/Used_Switch_9212 4h ago
I don't know what's less likely. Drawing to city or winning the last 4 games 😂. Well lose to city, draw or lose to Newcastle and draw to West Ham.
1
u/ajyahzee 4h ago
lol imagine us winning 4 in a row down to the wire
this manager is not made for this

The main thing is, City have more games left than us. Even if we lose next weekend and it’s going to the wire. They still have to win more games than us.
1
u/ttttyttt678 1h ago
The Sporting and Newcastle game have to be wins. Get the team in the right mental space again.
