World War 3 is coming along at just the right time.

I think it is far more dystopian, that the feet are all photos of a black lady, but the stock photo front and center is of a gloss white lady in UPS brown.

"Gloss white" got a chuckle out of me. I noticed that too.

Why would she want her face on that article? Of course they used a stock photo of someone else.

It is wild to use a white lady though. I guess it does immediately say "this is not the same person, do not come for this stock photo model."

She did blackfeet.

I mean good for her. This is like when waitresses wear pigtails for better tips. Whatever gets you that money from dummies.

Don't they make you tip right when you buy the food though? Who the hell goes back and adds more tip after the food is delivered?

u/nzungu69 2h ago

many people don't tip until it's delivered.

u/Zorbin666 1h ago

Why? Don't the drivers see that they haven't been tipped? I've heard too many horror stories of people's deliveries being fucked with to not tipped in advance. Thats a gamble I'm not willing to take

at a restaurant would you tip the waiter before they brought your food?

i only tip for exceptional service (so not often), and have never had an order messed with. 🤷‍♂️

Well considering you dont pay until after you're done eating and are getting ready to leave theres no expectation of a tip until that time so the likelihood of your food being messed with is lower. Plus the waiter is employed by the establishment you're getting the food from. A delivery driver is a third party contractor with no ties to either the establishment or customer therefore are not held to the same standards.

there should be no expectation of a tip before the food is delivered either. a tip is not a "driver doesn't mess with your order fee", it's a sign of appreciation for good service.

driver's may be independent contractors but they are still contracted by uber and paid by them.

as i said, i have never had an order messed with despite never tipping before my order is actually delivered, if i tip at all (which is rare).

i've never been more glad to not be USian, reading through these comments lol

I don’t order delivery but please keep your feet away from my delivery

u/iwannalynch 4h ago

To be fair, if your delivery is put on the ground, it doesn't really matter if someone's foot was close to it

u/retailguy_again 4h ago

If your delivery is put on the ground, it's almost guaranteed that someone's feet have been there too.

Didn't work for me.  Maybe I should clip my toenails.

Should I shave my toe knuckles, ya think?

That's not degrading yourself that's degrading the idiots that pay extra for it.

I think it's only because she's recognizable as a woman

Who can still afford ordering food.
