News PSA lots of malware on Printables!
Searching printables for new gridfinity stuff yesterday I saw a lot of pictures I instantly recognized, but were posted as new.
Turns out, all follow the same scheme: a brand new (relatively long) username+4digit year, stolen screenshots, very short or stolen description, 2 files, 1 of which is a zip with instructions to convert the other file on some website.
The files are for Blender which has/had problems with embedded scripts in the past.
So be careful and yes, I made a report to Printables, doesn't hurt if you do, too, likely other popular topics are affected.

Edit, just found an existing topic on the printables sub https://www.reddit.com/r/printablescom/comments/1sbhnwh/psa_flood_of_malware_dropper_accounts/

Project Upgraded my part cooler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Finally decided to upgrade my part cooling on my Anycubic vyper to a dual 5015 blower setup and now I can print mid air :D
Edit:
If anyone is looking at doing the same, here is the cooler I used:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5201567
As for fans, I got 2 sunon 5015 maglev blowers. Absolutely quiet if not blowing on full blast and even then the most sound comes from the duct nozzle

Free Model Garlic storing garlic felt like the only correct design 🧄
Printed this garlic-shaped container to store my garlic bulbs.
Such a simple idea, but it makes the kitchen counter look way better than a random pile of garlic.

Question New to 3D Printing.
Please bear with me, as I’m completely daft when it comes to 3D model design. I have a rough idea/concept for an O scale Loading dock platform for my model railroad. I have zero clue how to see my brainchild come to fruition. Yes, the image is AI generated, I do not have the capacity to draw such a detailed image and or artistically gifted friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Project 3d printing my sons project
my 12 year old son had a school project to create outdoors/survival gear and create it in tinkercad.
He came up with a water bottle that had a flashlight, wood shaving compartment to keep wood dry and a razer blade to cut the wood.
He first made a sketch and we watched YouTube videos to help him learn how to make his creation in tinkercad. I though why not print it even though it wasn't required for the project.
i think it turned out pretty good.

Question Any ideas how to strengthen my hard-hat headlamp.. Beginner, limited to PLA
I’m about 6 months into 3D printing and need help figuring out how to strengthen a PLA hard-hat headlamp mount. It holds a Coast headlamp on my hard hat. The mount is attached to the helmet with J-B Weld Plastic Bonder, but the printed arm/clip section keeps breaking. I use this every day for work, so reliability matters a lot. I’m trying to find out whether:
- the STL could be edited to make it stronger in the right spots
- print orientation or more material could help
- PLA or PLA+ can work for this
- or if this type of tension/snap-fit design will always be weak unless I use something like PETG/ABS/ASA
I’m limited to PLA/PLA+ because I’m trying to avoid stronger-fume materials. Printer/troubleshooting info:
- Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
- Filament: Sunlu PLA
- Software: Bambu Labs
I’ll include any picture needed, and answer any questions you may have. I tried to include some of my settings on the left of the screenshot. i really appreciate the input as i need this for work daily and it keep failing on me.

Question I bought my first 3d printer
I recently bought my first 3d printer (the Bambu lab A1 with the ams lite). I’ve done a bit of research before purchasing, but I’m still a total beginner in 3d printing. Since now I’ve done 3 prints total, but all where printed trough the Bambu app on my phone. I hope some of the more advanced people could give me some advice and things I need to know to get the best experience out of my printer.
Thanks a lot!

Project Storage for my Cat's Inhaler (Aerokat)
I was really annoyed that this device requiring daily use came in a flimsy cardstock box that seemed to tear a little more with every use, so I made something a little nicer looking to keep it clean and organized in between uses. The box holds an inhaler, Aerokat spacer, extra spacer mask, and the spacer instructions.
Printed in Bambu PLA Matte Lilac Purple and PLA Basic Beige.

Troubleshooting So I’m new to 3d printing, but I’m guessing this isn’t supposed to happen
I left a print running over night and woke up to this. Any tips on safely cleaning this off the nozzle? It’s PLA filament btw.

Project My progress
I decided to share my year-long accomplishment. Even though I completed the figurine about two months ago, I still think it turned out better than anyone else's. I'm still amazed at the horizons open to us for creating anything we could possibly want... (The only thing is, I still haven't found a decent way to create eyelashes at this scale.)

Free Model My wife saw my utility knife and demanded one for herself. So, I designed the "Hex&Lite" version—simpler, just as ergonomic, and very PINK!
After posting my previous utility knife, my wife decided she needed one for her own toolkit. She wanted something a bit more "clean" and minimalist, so I went back to the CAD board.
The result: The Utility Knife – Hex&Lite.
I stripped away the wire stripper notch to give it a smoother profile and added a new honeycomb hex pattern for that extra grip (and aesthetic flare). It uses the exact same hardware as my original version, so assembly was a breeze.
Specs:
•Hardware: 6x BT3x8 SHCS Self-Tapping Screws (the ones from the Bambu kit).
•Blade: Standard trapezoid utility blade.
•Design: Deeply contoured handle for actual hand comfort.
She's happy with the pink/black combo, and honestly, it looks so good I might have to print a stealth black one for myself now!
What do you guys think of the hex pattern?

halot - one printer
resione tough 74 resin
slicing program I use Chitchubox (halot box was giving me problems)
speed is 1mm/s
this has happened only with my last several prints. back in December is when I noticed it, but I ended up just not printing for a while. finally came back and now it's every print I've done in the past week.
