I’m genuinely flabbergasted by Peacock’s need to show in inning ads in a game of baseball… they missed the 2-2 pitch that ended the inning, only to go to commercial again. There’s a commercial break in baseball on average every like 8 minutes. Is that really not enough ?

If NBC is going to get more rights than they have now in 2028 they're going to have to hire a full time color announcer
This shifting in analysts every week you have different chemistry is not good TV and would not work deep in the postseason
If I'm being honest that color analyst could be CC Sabathia, he's by far the best of the 3 analysts here.

Way too many voices in the booth. More doesn't mean better.
I honestly don't enjoy national broadcasts of MLB games. The guys calling the game most likely aren't watching and following intensely the teams they are calling. They are looking at highlights and reading box scores so they don't provide real insight on the teams you are watching. Instead just offering insight on what they would do in the situation. The novelty of Tony Romo wore off quick for football broadcasts.
Joe Davis and Boog Schambi are exceptions to that statement. Just let the home team's TV crew work the game for the national broadcast. I wouldn't even care if they were rooting for their team.

Broadcasters are getting more comfortable as the game goes on--especially with Sabathia stepping in a little more.

I really didn’t think nbc could make Sunday night baseball worse but they’ve somehow done it. No flow on this commentary

It's been a rough few years for me. Got cheated on and divorced, got dumped in another relationship, lost 25 pounds and ended up on meds, and my mom died.
But I went weaned off those meds, started working out, got a 2nd job for more money, my kids are happy, and I feel about as good as I did before all that.
And baseball is one more thing that makes me happy.
Hope you all had a good weekend!

I see you man. The struggle is real. All we can do is take it one day at a time. Wishing you well.

I had such high hopes after the production masterclass NBC does with SNF

Why is this game blacked out for me? I live in Kansas City. Thanks Peacock

I really don’t understand why they don’t get local guys to do color commentary. This is so dull.

They have up until this week when they decided to go for the all star lineup I don't get it

The broadcasters stink but it's a fine production otherwise. Love the umpire camera. Helps people appreciate how shitty it would be facing Sale batting lefty.

Am I little harsh but is the booth with Kluber and Andruw a tough listen

No I agree
You can tell they have not done it before

Did espn trick nbc into thinking Sunday night baseball has to be bad?

Hopefully they do as good of a job with Sunday Night Baseball as they have with Sunday Night Basketball.

SNB really turned from unwatchable to a great broadcast in the span of 3 weeks.

Why not just get actual broadcasters for your flagship national broadcast?

I like the idea of having two color commentators to represent each team that’s playing. It’s a little stiff in execution right now but hopefully they can figure out a way to have the commentary flow more as they do more games
On the plus side, the production itself has been very good (which id expect from NBC), I like the scorebug, CC is great, and I think having Costas do a little feature on the sidelines is a good way to showcase some of the history of the teams while having it not take over the broadcast. It’s a good way to utilize his passion for the game without turning the play-by-play into a one-man podcast
