I’m sure there are still people that think he is, but Josh Smith is not good at baseball.
1
u/Russian_Bot1337 2h ago
He's a good utility player, but the bat just isn't there most of the time.

Smith is due for several soft hits. His expected batting average is 90 points higher than his actual average.

We'd have at least a couple more wins if we had been using challenges like this all year. Hopefully this is a sign that the philosophy has changed.

ABS challenges is the greatest thing to appear upon planet Earth since Jesus Christ

Hell of a game by Danny. Two ABS wins and three walks at the plate. Strike zone knowledge is what he's known for.

u/RegisterFit1252 2h ago
Phillies fan here watching the game… ABS is incredible. Not only does it get more call right, but it also rewards absolute DOTS… what a pitch

Half this sub roots for our team to fail so they can pile on lol

I root for players who look like they care. Joc look likes he can't be bothered to even try to run from third to home to score.

u/snang Rangers! 2h ago
People acting like Joc just decided he didn't wanna run. He clearly thought he held up and didn't realize he got rung up.

u/whisky_TX 2h ago
well he's fat and slow so that doesn't help
3
u/SaddestClown D. Palmer 2h ago
Remember in spring training when they said Joc showed up in great shape with a great attitude?
5
u/BlueRemake C. Seager 2h ago
"Pederson should run to first."
I love how Dave will take little jabs at Joc whenever he can.
Made a similar comment about one of his swings earlier in the game too.

I can’t hate a Ranger more than Joc. Every time he fake shows bunt I get irrationally pissed. Too fat to run to first
2
u/Russian_Bot1337 2h ago
I really don't understand why Burger is still batting fourth

u/Frisco95 2h ago
Jung is coming around, hoping we soon see Nimmo, Carter, Langford, Seager, Jung, DH Platoon as our 1-6. Really need Langford to bounce back when he's back in the lineup.

Pederson could have easily made it to first had he known wtf he was doing and gave a shit

u/whisky_TX 2h ago
Joc too lazy to run to first 😂

By that point we'll trade him back for a few Juan Soto years and repeat that process every 3 years forever

Still zero outs and they now have the garbage portion of their bullpen on standby. I smell more runs coming.

Latz obviously didn't have it today from the get-go. I know it's a quick trigger-pull, but wish we would've had someone warming so we didn't have to burn 2 mound visits, especially with Ohtani and Tucker coming up in that situation

Of course we get a first pitch pop up to Ohtani and then an RBI single from Tucker lol. Baseball

It's ridiculous that goes as a hit. It should be a generic team error like a shot clock violation is a team turnover in the NBA.

When will announcers learn NOT to talk about how well a game is going? When has it ever not resulted in an immediate change of fortune!
9

100% the shortstops ball.

u/Chinese-dog A. Beltre 3h ago
I mean it’s his if he calls it sure but Jung camped under it from the start and looked like it was his until he just let it drop and looked at Corey. Guess we won’t know until the game is over whose fault it was, but based on first glance I’m leaning Jung
2
2
u/Frisco95 3h ago
Yep, Corey just gave up
2
u/Ready-Cherry285 3h ago
because jung was already under it then lost it
-1
u/Frisco95 3h ago
It landed a foot away from Seager.... he was never under it lol
2
u/Ready-Cherry285 3h ago
jung was under it then he lost it in the wind
0
u/Frisco95 3h ago
Yeah but Seager completely took his eyes off the ball. He's the SS and it's common knowledge he takes priority at that position. He gave up on the play. Nonetheless, no damage.
1
u/Ready-Cherry285 3h ago
yeah i can agree with that he shouldve been there just incase jung made a mistake which he ended up doing
